  • Description

  • In close collaboration with his/her colleagues, the Quality Improvement Advisor will support all activities related to the management of the Collaborative Quality Improvement Approach. Specific activities include:
    • Assist in the management of the daily operations of the Collaborative Improvement Approach, including designing and execution of plans for differentiated HIV care for testing, treatment and retention at the county and sub county levels
    • Write and edit necessary correspondences and documents/reports;
    • Assist in the management of logistics of learning sessions, trainings or conferences;
    • Provide technical assistance to all activities during action periods; including conduct site support supervisory visits
    • Ensure timely and regular facilitation and coaching of quality improvement teams at all project sites;
    • Support the development of capacity at county and sub-county level for coaching to product results in QI
    • Ensure timely documentation of all activities and progress of site quality improvement teams at all project sites;
    • Assist in the management of data collection, monitoring and analysis and reporting for all project sites;
    • Facilitate the development of periodic quality improvement team action plans at project sites;
    • Collaborate, support, and communicate regularly and effectively with all Oxford Epi/Kenya staff and consultants;
    • Produce monthly reports;
    • Assist in coordination of CMEs for staff, including in the area of quality improvement
    • Work closely with relevant NASCOP bodies to ensure integration of the Quality Improvement Approaches
    • Foster and maintain relationships with local partners;
    • Create liaisons with existing regional HIV/AIDS committees and services to ensure proper integration of quality improvement approaches;
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the relevant authorities
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Medical Doctor with a degree Public Health preferred
    • 5 to 7 years work experience, including previous work experience within the Kenyan healthcare delivery system
    • Project Management level experience within international projects preferred
    • Trained in clinical management of HIV/AIDS
    • Sound understanding and recent experience in implementing modern quality improvement approaches
    • Previous experience with teaching or peer mentoring
    • Advanced written and oral communication skills
    • Flexible, results oriented team player
    • Experience in the set up and use of electronic data collection and real time data management systems.
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office products and the internet
    • Fluent in English and Swahili
