    POSITION: ICT COORDINATOR

    2. Key Responsibilities

    The ICT Coordinator is responsible for the management of the organisations ICT services and
    infrastructure. Design and manage the implementation of software applications especially to support
    savings and lending self help groups in the Archdiocese of Nairobi.

    2.1 Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    1) Support Archdiocese of Nairobi Self Help Groups in the ongoing enhancements of software
    applications to enable staff and members access to secure information and functionality in
    alignment with business and ICT strategic directions
    2) Lead the Application Implementation Program
    3) Proactively lead discussions with key staff regarding ICT workflow opportunities

    3. Job Profile

    1) Provide overall leadership and administration of the ICT office at Caritas Nairobi in its
    software implementation and support within Self Help Groups.
    2) Manage any third party supplier of application software to provide best value and outcomes
    for the organisation
    3) Provide support, system support for applications in a real time context
    4) Support after-hours application batch runs, upgrades & preventative maintenance initiatives
    5) Provide professional advice to the Director on new requirements and business cases for
    software applications
    6) Mentor process and efficiency improvements within the ICT Team
    7) Ensure that staff are adequately trained to perform their allocated dutiesPage 2 of 3
    8) Co-ordinate Key Performance Indicator reports and report on the ICT Team performance
    9) Management of the ICT budget

    4. Person Profile

    4.1.1 Experience and Qualifications
     Degree in Computer Science or similar field
     Over 5 years’ experience with responsibility for application selection and procurement,
    leading project teams involved in software development, implementation and
    customisation
     Sound knowledge of Business Analysis fundamentals, including strong experience in
    conducting requirements gathering.
     Experience in the management of projects, using formal methodologies
     Experience in delivering services to a geographically diverse organisation
     Detailed Experience in the creation of policies, procedures and work practices regarding
    systems development life cycle (SDLC) services within an organisation
     Experience managing vendor contracts, including the monitoring of service level
    agreements
     Strong dedication to customer service
     Highly developed strategic thinking
     Effective relationship building and influencing skills
     Advanced interpersonal and communication skills
     Contemporary leadership skills

    4.2 Personal Qualities

    The ICT Coordinator should demonstrate competence in some or all of the following:
    1) Ethics: Ensure that own behaviour and the behaviour of others is consistent with these
    standards and aligns with the values of the organization
    2) Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to articulate the
    vision of Caritas Nairobi and communicate complex issues with clarity to a wide range of
    audiences

    in a changing work environment while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency
    4) Building Relationships: Establish and maintain positive working relationships with others,
    both internally and externally, to achieve the goals of the organization
    5) Leading: Positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the
    organization
    6) Innovative: develop enterprising initiatives including digital developments that add value,
    revenue and richness to Caritas work and its reputation
